[ARCHIVED] Garden State Relief Fund Small Business and Non-Profit COVID-19 Recovery Loans Available

6/16/20, Asbury Park, NJ – The City of Asbury Park is pleased to announce that, through a partnership with Urban Enterprise Zone, New Jersey Community Capital has launched the Garden State Relief Fund to offer working capital loans to small businesses and nonprofits negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. To support the recovery program, the City of Asbury Park Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ) has expanded the use of $100,000 in funding leftover from Superstorm Sandy recovery funding.

“Our mission is to ensure that small businesses and nonprofits are provided with quick yet equitable and inclusive opportunities for relief, stability, and growth,” said Wayne Meyer, President of NJCC, “We’re pleased the Garden State Relief Fund can provide financial support for those that have been disproportionally affected by this evolving public health crisis.”

“We can’t thank the UEZ enough for its commitment to Asbury Park businesses by expanding the use of these recovery funds,” said Mayor John Moor, “We are hopeful that the Garden State Relief Fund will bring some much-needed relief to our struggling small businesses.”
