As speeding continues to be a problem throughout the United States, cities across the country are exploring ways to keep speeds at safe levels for pedestrians, bicyclists and drivers. Examples include raised intersections, roundabouts, roadway narrowing, and chicanes.
Techniques such as roadway narrowing and curb extensions have been implemented in numerous areas throughout Asbury Park. Moving forward, additional techniques and strategies will be implemented and evaluated for their effectiveness to determine what work best for our City
