CITY OF ASBURY PARK NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held for the purpose of receiving comments on an application to the County of Monmouth for Open Space Trust Funds under the Monmouth County Municipal Open Space Grant Program. The Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, in Council Chambers at the Asbury Park City Hall at One Municipal Plaza, Asbury Park, NJ 07712 at 2:00 p.m., at which time all persons who may be interested therein will be given an opportunity to be heard. Written comments may also be submitted and will be accepted by the Municipal Clerk prior to the hearing date and time.
The City of Asbury Park desires to obtain Monmouth County Municipal Open Space Grant Program funds in order to improve Deal Lake Park, located at the northwest corner of the intersection of Main Street and Seventh Avenue. Deal Lake Park (Block 3001; Lot 1) improvements shall include new lighting, new benches with concrete slabs, restoration of living shoreline, and overall improvements to the park’s aesthetics and functionality.
