City of Asbury Park Holds Public Open House for Safe Routes to School Project
In-Person Meeting Scheduled for Tuesday, March 8 from 5-7pm in Council Chambers
2/25/22, Asbury Park, NJ – The City of Asbury Park will hold an in-person public Open House to provide local residents with information on the Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Asbury Park - Traffic Calming, Bike and Pedestrian Safety Upgrades to Third Avenue and Fourth Avenue between Prospect Avenue and Comstock Street. The Open House will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 from 5-7pm in City of Asbury Park Council Chambers located at 1 Municipal Plaza and is a follow up to a Virtual Public Information Center held in December 2021.
The purpose of this project is to support SRTS safety and access improvements by implementing traffic calming measures on Third Avenue and Fourth Avenue between Prospect Avenue and Comstock Street. The project design and construction costs are funded by federal funds administered through New Jersey Department of Transportation Local Aid Transportation Alternatives (TA) Program and Design Assistance.
Residents will have the opportunity to review the SRTS Asbury Park Third and Fourth Avenue Preliminary Engineering Phase exhibits, ask questions and discuss input or concerns by providing comments at the meeting.
