US Environmental Protection Agency Brownfields Cleanup Grant Application

The City of Asbury Park is applying for a US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfields Cleanup Grant for several properties located within the Brownfield Development Area (BDA) including: 1216 Springwood Avenue, 1219 Springwood Avenue, 1407 Springwood Avenue, 1505 Springwood Avenue and 61-63 Ridge Avenue. In accordance with EPA's community notification policies, a community meeting is being held to discuss the grant application and to solicit public comments on the application and the proposed use of funds. The meeting will be held virtually via Zoom on November 24, 2021 at 12 pm.

Copies of the draft application, including the draft EPA-required Analysis of Brownfield Cleanup Alternatives document, will be available for public review and comment online at the City’s website at www.cityofasburypark.com and at the City's offices before the meeting during normal business hours between November 22 and 23, 2021. If unable to attend, any questions or comments regarding the EPA grant application, including requests to view application drafts, should be directed to Laura Burnham at BRS, Inc. at 856-964-6456 (X 6866).
