This past June, the City of Asbury Park installed a parklet in front of 619 Cookman. Parklets are extensions of the sidewalk, from the curb into the street, which can include public seating, art, plants and other elements. They are typically located in one or more parking spots and protected from traffic. They build community by serving as a place to gather, celebrate, eat, work and play.
