The Asbury Park Senior Center is brought to you by The City of Asbury Park and is partially funded through a grant from the Monmouth County Office On Aging.
Located at 1201 Springwood Avenue, the Asbury Park Senior Center provides the senior citizens of Asbury Park with social and recreational programs, educational seminars, and social service initiatives from The City of Asbury Park. The Senior Center also provides home visitation services, transportation, and a nutritious lunch program operated by Interfaith Neighbors.
The staff at the Asbury Park Senior Center recognize the role and value of seniors within the community, and strive to serve them with pride and enthusiasm. They create a fun and engaging environment, keeping Asbury Park’s seniors active, healthy and happy, while focusing on educating them on well-being, safety and independent living.
On-site activities at the Senior Center include arts and crafts, bingo, board games, computer classes, health screenings, knitting, Tai chi, yoga and more.
A variety of off-site events are also part of the regular programming, including swim/aerobics classes, shopping excursions and field trips.
Registration is free and can be done on-site. Most programming is at no cost, some field trips require an additional charge. The Senior Center is wheelchair accessible with an elevator to the 2nd floor.
