Mission
Asbury Park’s Recreation Department provides quality recreation programs for our community, and supports existing programs by recreational agencies within the City, to help youth build confidence and self-esteem, while creating community.
Activities
Throughout the year, the Recreation Department offers sports, dance, mentoring programs and youth activities. During the summer, the Recreation Department holds a 6-week camp in collaboration with the Asbury Park Board of Education.
Fitness Facility
The Boxing and Fitness Facility offers workout equipment, treadmills, free weights and a regulation size boxing ring. The facility is open Monday to Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Annual Fees are $75 for 18 years and under and $150 for adults. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Community Events
Additionally, the Recreation Department produces community events such as the Back to School Block Party, Recreation Committee Fashion Show and annual Halloween Trunk or Treat Event.

Visit the Recreation Department at City Hall (1 Municipal Plaza, 2nd Floor) Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
